Artist statement
Qoylluriti, a multidisciplinary artist from Mexico. Influenced by her family’s artistic roots, she explores the beauty of existence through painting, music, and muralism. Her artwork blends cultural storytelling, human anatomy, and natural elements, often inspired by poetry, philosophy and metaphysics. Art is a celebration of life, connection and imagination.

She explores concepts of metaphysics, quantum physics, and dreams, blending science with artistic expression. Human anatomy and the beauty of flora and fauna also profoundly shape her work, reflecting the essence of life.
Her creative process begins with capturing ideas, which she compares to fleeting fish—sometimes elusive, sometimes easy to grasp. Once captured, they are transformed into writings or sketches, serving as a “map” for her final pieces. This foundation, or sketch evolves into her completed works. Though she has worked extensively with acrylics, she recently transitioned to oil painting, finding it more expressive and aligned with her evolving artistic language.

“"For me, painting and creating has been the only form of reality capable of expanding and transforming the limits of what is real. Through art, I find a language where the invisible takes shape, the intangible becomes color, and the deepest emotions emerge as landscapes, figures, and symbols. Each brushstroke is a dialogue between imagination and existence, a constant exploration of who we are and who we could become. Creating is not merely an aesthetic act but a bridge to other planes of perception, where the boundaries of time, space, and reason dissolve, allowing me to inhabit a freer, more poetic, and fulfilling reality."
